Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 is extremely relevant to our day.

“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.” – Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

The passage talks about two getting a better return for their labor than one. So my challenge to you is: Go for it, try it out in this one area:

I have had the chance to workout over the last few months with a number of trainers from the gym where I’m a member. All the guys are younger than me, some almost 10 years which puts them right in their prime! I don’t quite move like I did when I was 25 so it takes a great deal of effort to keep up. Conversely, they don’t want to get beat by an “old man” and so they push all the more. This has been a match made in heaven. We are all making each other better and we are getting better results… a better return if you will. Being fit and staying fit is easy when you have someone there with you that won’t let you cut corners and not finish to the end. It’s even been fun working out with my wife as it has become one of the few times we can be together without our kids taking much of the attention!

A simple suggestion to follow this principle from God’s Word so that you get a workout partner and a better return!
