Mission of MMCO

Master’s Men Durango encourages and challenges men to boldly follow Jesus Christ at home, at work, and in the community…so no man walks alone! Our guiding principle is based on Proverbs 27:17: “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” We follow the Biblical example of loving God and others, are open to all men, and encourage men to come as they are. We are a non-denominational Bible based organization.

The Progress and Impact

Master’s Men Colorado officially began in August of 2013.  While a major goal is to have a greater impact in reaching men who do not know Christ.

MM Colorado has a team meeting every Tuesday morning, 6:30 AM, at the DoubleTree Hotel Lounge – 501 Camino del Rio, Durango, CO, where over 40 men attend. And has been life changing for most. Our age range is 17-80. Of particular note is our prayer partner ministry where any man who desires to not walk alone any longer has one or more prayer partners that they keep in contact with by various means during the week between meetings.

We have had the privilege of seeing men come to know Jesus for the first time, others to grow more deeply in their relationship with Him and still others being reconciled to family, released from addictions, healed physically and emotionally as well of a number of other ministry impacts. These results reflect men’s growing faith in Jesus and they reflect the effort of our members as we reach out to men in our community with the love and truth of our Savior.

Servants Council

The Durango Colorado chapter is humbled to have 8 men who comprise a “Servants Council” we believe that Jesus came with the primary attitude of service. That is the attitude and action we use in determining the agenda, speaking schedule and outreach. Each man serves a rotating 2 year term and are recruited from the core attendees. Each man must meet criteria set forth by Masters Men International which essentially follows the qualities set forth in Titus 1:5-9. These men have a passion for the MM Ministry, love the men and are dedicated to faithful service.
