“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.” – Proverbs 14:12

“You, Lord, give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm and put their trust in You.” – Isaiah 26:3

There seems to be a growing number of people who are exhausted, perhaps even mentally empty who have stopped growing and now spend their lives in the pursuit of little more than amusement. Really? Amusement? Yes, amusement! The word amusement literally means to function without thinking. Functioning without thinking usually leads to chaos!

Nothing in life can take the place of knowing your purpose. If you find yourself in pursuit of “whatever” for amusement sake, whether you think it is right or not, you are likely to spend your life doing the wrong thing(s).

God created every person for a purpose. Our responsibility is to give thought to our life, identify and pursue this purpose!

Here are some questions to ask yourself to help you distinguish your purpose:

What are you searching? Everyone has a strong desire that speak loud and clear to ones thoughts and feelings. Ignoring these will lead to emptiness.

Why were you put on this earth? Think about your uniqueness and God given abilities.

Do you believe in your own potential? No one can consistently act in a manner inconsistent with the way they see themselves.

When do you begin pursuing your purpose? How about now!?
